  Mr. Mauritsz de Kort proposed for appointment to Vice President Court of Justice on Curaçao and Bonaire March 18, 2017 10:10 AM The Council of Ministers of the Kingdom of the Netherlands proposed mr. Mauritsz de Kort for appointment of Vice-President of the Joint Court of Justice of the branches Curaçao and Bonaire.   Mr. De Kort succeeds mr. Eunice Saleh in this position, after she became President of the Court in January. The decision is effective from April 1, 2017.De Kort was born in Aruba in 1973. After he finished VWO at Colegio Arubano he continued his studies at the HEAO in Arnhem. He then went on to study law at the University of Leiden. De Kort graduated in 1999 and immediately continued to earn his postgraduate masters course at the University of London.   De Kort worked as a lawyer in Aruba, Curaçao and Sint Maarten for several years after his studies.   Mauritsz de Kort installed as new court president LOCAL  | By  Correspondent  May 27, 2022 WILLEMSTA D - Mauritsz de Kort was officially installed on 25 May 2022 as the new president of the Common Court of Justice of the Caribbean part of the Kingdom. His appointment had already started formally as of January 1.     The installation took place in a specially furnished room of the Renaissance Hotel, in the presence of the entire court and many guests, including the governors of Curaçao and Aruba, the Prime Minister of Curaçao, the Presidents of Parliaments of Curaçao, Aruba and Sint Maarten and the representative of the Netherlands.
